SPACEFEST 99 was the second space festival. Festival was inaugurated by Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury in at the playground of BUET. This festival held from 18 to 21 December. This festival includes with MA Jabbar planetarium show, plasma study unit, observation of sun throw telescope, workshop on making telescope, puppet show on 'Balloon to Pathfinder', projection of astronomical instruments of earlier days and modern era, films based on science fiction and poster and slid show. Inter-school science quiz, science project competition and night sky observation also included in the festival.
